The 2016 Houston Firkin Fest is this weekend. If you don’t have tickets to this event, I would recommend getting them as quick as you can. This is going to be awesome. It’s their 3rd year putting on this Festival, it is organized by the Texas Craft Brewer’s Guild which means there is an almost guaranteed chance that good beer will be served.
The tickets might be a little pricey for some folks. Their $40 if you buy them now but they go up to $50 at the gate the day of the event. But you do get a commemorative cup, 8 sample tickets (1 ticket will get you a 3 oz pour), and they sell additional tickets on site. It’s a great chance to try at least 8 different beers if your feeling adventurous.
This one location will be full of rare beers from breweries all over Texas. I’m a big fan of Texas Craft Beer so being able to get some of these rare potentially delicious beers is worth taking a chance and attending this event.
I planned on writing a more elaborate article about this event and what goes into making it and event more details but the writers over on Houston Beer Guide wrote a great article that I would recommend going to read if you want to know more about Houston Firkin Fest this year.
If you like craft beer, you’ll be happy this weekend from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Hennessy Park – 1900 Lyons Avenue, Houston, TX 77020 which is conveniently located next to the Saint Arnold Brewery.
