Brewed by: Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu
This beer has a beautiful amber color and is full of malty flavor. There is plenty of reason to drink something this refreshing.
- Beautiful Color
- Light Carbonation
- Malty flavor
- Metallic taste
- Almost to much Malty flavor
1-2.9 = Terrible 3-4.9 = Mehh… 5-6.9 = So So 7-8.9 = Worth Drinking 9-10 = Damn Good
It is a beautiful Amber color you can almost see through the glass. It smells like a malty grain cereal. I felt like there was a slight metallic taste on the initial sip. It almost tastes like liquid oatmeal. But definitely a malt taste and feel to this beer.
This one is super light, kinda similar to a brown ale. Very light carbonation so I feel less burbs.
The after taste is malty too, it hangs out for a few seconds then fades, making me want to go back in for another sip just to make sure the taste is the same.
Overall, not a bad Oktoberfest. I mean they say that Spaten Oktoberfest is the world’s first oktoberfest beer. So seems they have been making it for awhile. It wasn’t my favorite oktoberfest but it is still worth drinking, I feel like this beer would be better if you actually got it fresh on tap in Germany. But I could be wrong. I would drink this beer again, Spaten makes one of my favorite Doppelbocks so i trust they don’t make terrible beers.
